Solutions · Disaster Recovery as a Service

Recovery that doesn’t cross your borders.

Most DR services protect your workloads — but ship your data through a foreign-incorporated control plane to do it. MomentumX DRaaS keeps replication, recovery orchestration, and audit logging inside the regulated perimeter you already operate in. Same RPO/RTO targets. Sovereign by default.

What changes for you

Three things DR buyers care about now

Backup is solved. What isn’t solved is whether your DR architecture survives the next compliance audit — and whether your control plane respects the same data residency rules your primary infrastructure does.

Sovereign by default

Replication targets, recovery orchestration, and audit logs all stay inside the country your primary workloads run in. No quiet failover into a foreign control plane during a recovery event.

Tested RPO/RTO commitments

RPO down to 15 minutes on continuous replication, RTO under one hour on orchestrated failover. Quarterly DR drills are scoped into the service — not an extra-cost add-on.

Predictable economics

Per-VM storage + bandwidth pricing, no hidden egress fees during recovery testing. The bill that lands during a real incident matches the one in the contract.

Deployment patterns

Four ways to deploy DRaaS

Match the residency posture of your primary workload. Each pattern is a real customer configuration we operate today.

Same-country DR

Primary in Riyadh, replicate to a second sovereign zone in-Kingdom. Or primary in Cairo, replicate to a second Egyptian zone. Single-jurisdiction compliance, fastest RPO/RTO.

Cross-region MENA

KSA primary, UAE or Egypt secondary — when geographic separation is required and bilateral data-transfer rules permit. Common for FSI groups operating across the GCC.

EU-resident DR

Primary in MENA, secondary in Amsterdam or Frankfurt. For workloads that can leverage EU data-protection frameworks as a recovery jurisdiction. Used by multinational subsidiaries.

Hybrid recovery

On-prem primary, MomentumX as the warm-standby DR site. Lift-and-shift replication from VMware, Hyper-V, or open-source virtualization without changing the production stack.

Your DR control plane should obey the same residency rules as production. Most don’t.

Hyperscaler DRaaS products replicate your data inside their region of choice — but the orchestration, identity, and audit-log layer often sits in a foreign-incorporated parent. During an audit, that gap becomes the question that’s hardest to answer. MomentumX runs the entire control plane inside the same sovereign perimeter as your primary workload.

FAQ

What DR buyers ask first

What RPO/RTO do you commit to in the SLA?
RPO ≤ 15 minutes on continuous replication. RTO < 1 hour on orchestrated failover for a typical 50–500 VM environment. Tighter targets are achievable for specific workloads — quoted per cluster after a discovery call.
How are DR drills tested?
Quarterly orchestrated drills are scoped into the standard DRaaS contract. Each drill produces an audit-ready report covering RPO achieved, RTO measured, data-integrity validation, and rollback. No extra cost for the drill itself or its bandwidth.
Do you support VMware-source replication?
Yes. VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, and open-architecture virtualization sources are all supported. The HyperEdge migration tool handles V2V conversion for failover targets so you’re not locked to the source hypervisor in a real recovery.
Where does the audit log live?
Inside the sovereign perimeter, alongside the replication target. Customer SOC teams get read-only API access. Audit logs are retained per the customer’s compliance requirement (typically 7 years for FSI, 10 years for healthcare under PDPL).
What about ransomware recovery?
Immutable snapshots with configurable retention windows. Air-gapped tier optional. Recovery from a ransomware event is a documented runbook, not an ad-hoc operation.
